What Is Plovpit?

PlovPit means "The True Way". It is a online resource created to fill the void of solid online Christian content. We create Khmer-language articles, videos, quotes, and comics, posting on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, our mobile app, and our website. These are developed by our missionaries, local Khmer pastors, and translated from Desiring God, Ligonier, Got Questions, Crossway, 9 Marks, The Gospel Coalition, Tim Challies, Adam4d, The Cripple Gate, and others.

Christ-Centered Books

There are very few biblical resources available to Christian Cambodians in their own language, and even fewer tools are available to pastors in their study. The Plovpit Translation Ministry has strategically sought to publish Christ-centered resources in book and online formats.

Our book projects have included: Fifty Reasons Jesus Came To Die (John Piper), Prosperity? (Mbugua, Maura, Mbewe, Grudem, Piper), What Is A Healthy Church (Mark Dever), The Jesus Storybook Bible (Sally Lloyd-Jones), Foundations Of The Faith (Grace Community Church), and The Confessions (Augustine).

We need your help to continue to publish God-centered resources to create a passion for Jesus in Cambodia. Consider partnering with our Plovpit Translation Ministry today.

The Dangers Of The Prosperity Gospel

The Lord is using this newly translated book, Prosperity?to warn against false teaching in Cambodia. We encourage you to watch this video and share it. Please continue to pray that the Lord would use resources like this to strengthen believers to see the dangers of the prosperity gospel, and the beauty of the true gospel.

Thank you for your partnership in the ministry, helping make stories like this a reality! We have already distributed over 2,000 copies throughout Cambodia!

Nathan & Christiana Wells

Nathan arrived in Cambodia in 2003 and became involved in learning the Khmer language and discipling students. For three and a half years he lived with a group of Cambodian young men training and discipling them. Nathan went stateside to study at The Masters Seminary in order to be better equipped to translate God-centered books into the Cambodian language. Nathan was married to Christiana and in 2008 and completed seminary in May 2009. Their daughter, Ava was born three months before they moved back to Cambodia in January of 2010. Nathan and Christiana now have three children, Ava, Paton and John. In 2018, the Wells family relocated to Idaho where Nathan continues to work with the translation team in Cambodia remotely.

Bora & Bunry Chheang

Raised in a Christian orphanage in Cambodia, Bora was sponsored to complete high-school in the USA and later attend The Master’s College.
After graduating, Bora came back to Cambodia.

Bora and his wife Bunry are dedicated to serving their local church in Cambodia. Bora has been involved with the leadership team at their local church since 2012 and preaches regularly as a lay pastor. Bunry serves with the worship team and sport ministries. With ACTION Cambodia, Bora writes, translates, and edits as a part of the translation team where they focus on developing biblical resources for the church in Cambodia. The Lord has been using the team’s blog in ways that we could have never imagined.

Jeff Lai

Jeff arrived in Phnom Penh in May 2019, originally contracted with an education company, but actively seeking and praying for ministry opportunities. Prepared with years of serving the local church, living abroad, becoming comfortable with Asia and their culture, and annual short-term missions, the Lord paved the road for his service in Cambodia.

Zealous for the people of Cambodia to know the glorious gospel and to be glad in God alone, Jeff works in 2 primary ministries: Gospel Discipleship through teaching Bible at a student dorm and Gospel Tools by helping with the promotion of Plovpit resources.
